Dutch progressive metal band FeedForward has been around since 2001. Since then the members have created their own unique style, which can be best defined as a mix between progressive rock and melodic metal. In spite of the sometimes complex arrangements, the songs are accessible for a large audience, due to the recognisable vocals and catching melodies.
The band has managed to build up a big fan-base, which shows by the increasing number of concerts they have played the last couple of years. These gigs included performances with Fates Warning, Evergrey, Damian Wilson and Enchant. The on-stage performance full of energy and intensity accentuates the power of their songs.
At the end of 2006 FeedForward recorded their full length debut album “Barefoot & Naked”, which really shows the many sides of this band. The album contains catchy rock songs, progressive pieces, pounding metal, but also epic songs and even a piano ballad. “Barefoot & Naked” received a wave of positive reviews from all over the world. This lead to signing a record deal with the dutch label Rusty Cage Records, resulting in a re-release of their album in 2008.
FeedForward's first vocalist and co-founder Biejanka decided to move to Finland in June 2009. After a lot of searching and auditions FeedForward found a worthy successor: Patrice.
In 2011, FeedForward recorded their second full length album, titled “Upstream”. This album contains 9 songs in the now unmistakable FeedForward style. “Upstream” is released on December 6th 2011, and is distributed by Nightmare Records.
