FeedForward - Barefoot & Naked

The Dutchmen released their debut album a year ago themselves and now they landed a deal with Rusty Cage Records. I would place the sound of FeedForward in the category Bombast / Prog rock with an 80s touch, especially in the Keys. The voice of singer Biejanka sounds quite properly, though still somewhat thin in places, but there is certainly a lot of potential in her voice. The album shines with great, very melancholic melodies, and here and there one hears the typical, British prog-rock style in the sound. "Barefoot & Naked" takes some time getting used to before great songs like "Run The Race" ignite. The quieter moments like "Crossing The Line", "Innocence" or the Landmarq-alike "Our Sky" can convince thoroughly and also the harder songs, like "Before I Leave". "Silent" and "Moving" (both remind something to Dream Theater) shine with cool guitars and breaks. Feedforward have a fairly independent atmospheric debut published here which sounds still exciting after several listenings.
